Does anyone know if a coupe TA spoiler will fit on the convertable? if so why were they produced with the firebird style

It will not bolt up, it will need custom work.

If the convertible hatch is done like the base Firebird & Formula coupe hatches, you'd have to have the Trans Am hatch and wing & somehow cut the Trans Am hatch to the same size as the convertible's trunk lid. The reason I say that is because the Firebird & Formula (and I assume the convertible) spoiler is "bonded" to the hatch (trunk), so removing the spoiler wouldn't leave you with a flat surface.

The convertible trunk is different than the regular TA hatch. The spoiler I'd have to think would fit the convertable hatch if not for the spoiler appearing to be molded into the hatch on the convertibles.
