you know i almost bought a warbird hood from someone and they sold it before i got a chance, and then i got lucky and found the real ws6 hood on ebay... i think i prefer the WS6 to the warbird now that i see that black car... not that it doesnt look good, but the ws6 just looks like it belongs better on an LT1
FWIW i think im gonna try for the week of march 9th to get my car in for paint... im waiting for the temps to get into the 40s and for the salt on the roads to get washed away from a good rain
come to think of it, i see that car above is in oak lawn... you didnt happen to buy that hood used and already painted black from someone in joliet right after christmas did you?

If I ever get a paintjob, it'll be like zlovers. I really like what he did. That or I might just get the 35th Anniv stripe and call it a day.
I have no pics yet worth posting, sorry. Summer I will when I put on the 5-spoke rims.

Oh whoops I misread. This is WS6 only. I won't bother posting pics then LOL Anyways, that black one above is gorgeous. I'm not a fan of chrome rims but that pulls it off nicely.
evilZ06, this is LT1 WS6s, not LS1, just so you know (not to sound like an ***).

bringing this one back up. I posted some photoshops of my car of how it was going to look, and thought i should post the real deal now that the hood is on ![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
for the record the car has not been washed and yes there is some compound here and there...

the spot next to the bird on the bumper is just a smudge of dirt or something, i already noticed it after i looked at the pics and cleaned it up

yes i do.... hawks 3rd gen parts... got mine for $50 shipped..

"cheap" is a subjective word... $50 for 2 pieces of plastic is still not what i'd consider cheap, but it sure beats $95 apiece from GM
here's a closeup of them installed on my car

oh and here's a pic of my motor... the hood is fully functional![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)

If you have a real LT1 WS6, you should add your build # to the list of WS6s in the "Special Edition Vehicles" forum. We only have about five '96 models and no '97s yet.
Here's the thread.
https://ls1tech.com/forums/special-edition-vehicles/667818-list-ws6-build-numbers.html
If you don't know your build number, contact SLP first and find out.. then submit your info and we'll get you on the list.
