Firebird decals I'm trying to find a large picture of the sail panel bird for a 76 t/a & a 79. I would also like a picture of the same years for the rear spoiler bird..
Anyone ? Beauler? Beauler?

If I remember correctly the Only cars that recieved Sailpanel Decals in `76 were the 50th Anni SE's (and the decals were Gold) All other T/A's had a Firebird Emblem for that year. `79's all had Decals that were small versions of the hood bird (swept up Wings). The Rear Spoiler bird that was used on some Formula's (specifically ones without the W50 Appearance pkg) and was similar to the nose Birds from the `73 Trans Am's (swept out Wings)

Boy Im glad I didnt do that! Ok heres the deal, I shopped around and found a graphics company that does the cop cars. They offer a 7yr warranty on their vinyl.
I looked at the popular graphics places on line, cant say them or they get deleted?
Heres what they did, they took a picture of the car and added the camaro stripes and it looked like !@#$%^&!.!
So I decided on these: (customized)
the center area will be burgandy to match the int. the outer stripes will be a charcol grey to break up the color. (remember the car is Platinum sliver met).
the sail panel and spoiler birds will be customized too, (color changes & different year). The will look like this;
the customizing will be the color changes, the outline around the bird will be clear, the bird will be burgandy, the red swips will be burgandy and the black outlines will be charcol grey.
the sail panel birds wings will be the proper length and width to the 79 style.
Next will be finding the center caps for the wheels.
I will take and post pics when its done!

Its too bad there are not more 2nd Gen graphics dealers..
The ones that are out there have the market cornered on prices.. The graphics company are only charging me 130 for everything & instalation..!

The Only center caps for the Snowflakes I've seen availbale are the Hexagon style and those are incorrect (they were on the `79 10th Anni T/A and the 80-81 Turbo T/A's with the Turbo Wheels).
The Correct rounded bullet style caps are very hard to find, Although you may find them on ebay. Good luck

I've looked there aswell but they don't carry the early Formula Stripes like he's looking for. All they have is the Decals for the W50 Formula Appearance Pkg.

Centercaps, I'd give this guys a try, they carry a bunch of stuff F-Body (but less in older stuff, but who knows). Some you can see down the list offer centercaps, but I'd probably call and ask if they have any.
