Tuner vs Shift kit?

Depends on how agressive of a shift kid you go with. You can get really hard shifting ones, or just mild shifting ones. A mild one would be close to the max they could get out of a tune. I like hard shifts, so more clutch packs and higher pressure is a must

Hell my old 700R4 chirped 3rd @ 85 (no lie). Only once mind you, but it did it lol Definitely don't doubt you. I've owned two L98 powered cars, and with a firm shift, they'll bark the tires like no one's business. I was always amazed at the L98's torque. Too bad they fell flat at 4800rpm.
the shift kit will help. you can tune to increase line pressure and make the shifts firmer, but ultimately these efforts will make the life of the tranny shorter.

If you get a tuner dont mess with the line pressure or the shifts firmness, something will brake. I would get a shift kit if you want the kick with you go WOT or maybe gears 3.73 or 4.10.
