1997 ws6 with 16" ?
I just found a convertible WS 6 here is the RPO tag
It looks all correct but the wheels was there a ws6 wheel delete?
I searched the forum and found a few threads but, I could not tell which code in here is the wheels.

I won't be able to check mine for another week as I'm out of town but I would swear mine has 17's on it too. I'm not saying that's how it left the factory, I'm just sayin....
And my VIN has been ran when I bought the car. It's definitely a WS6.

I own a 97 vert Ram Air. They did not allow the 17's with the vert so if you see 17's then it's not correct. We got only the oval exhaust and hood with the Ram Air package as it is called in the brochure. I have all the documentation from purchase if anyone needs more clarification.

True.
True for '97 WS6 verts, but not '98+ WS6 'verts.
Many people changed their rims to 17".
Yours is a coupe, which came w/ the 17" rim / suspension package.
Correct except for the part about the WS6 RPO. You are correct that the '97 WS6 RPO for the verts did not include the 17" rims & performance suspension upgrades that the coupes received, but they were still actually "WS6"s. I've heard reports that some '97 WS6 verts had the rear badge, and others that didn't. This is probably a mid-year production change.

Well Im now looking at a 6 speed convertible drop top 97, its in pretty good shape
I really like the looks of the 97 TA ram air's the lines are much smoother, BUT no LS1.
getting it means I have like 6000.00 left over for wheels and a new paint job, not that it needs one.

^ That's precisely the reason I bought an LT1 WS6 instead of LS1. Loved the smoother lines. Sometimes I regret not getting an LS1 but overall I'm pretty happy. The LT1 has it's pro's and con's as any other vehicle. It's a lot easier to get power out of and work on an LS1, but I have a rare car and not many were made. Plus I've gained a lot of knowledge and I plan to have every generation Fbody eventually. And it's the best LT1 Fbody made, so...
But if I could go back I would've bought LS1 WS6. But then I probably would have regretted it and wished I got an LT1 WS6. I'll pick me up an 02 one day.

Not to mention that the comment is wrong anyway... the WS6 option was most certainly offered on the 97 convertible - the photo in the first post is proof of that. The WS6 package consisted of different things between coupe and convertible but even though the handling components weren't part of the convertible WS6 package, it was still a WS6.
