Default ? about a ws6

I looking at a 97 ws6. And I was wondering do these have a number like the camaro ss? A dash plaque. And do all ws6s have a small bird logo in front of the hood? I dont see 1 on the car.

do you mean the bird logo on the bumper cover? if there isnt one that means the bumper was probably replaced at one point.. FWIW that logo is NOT a part of the oem GM bumper, its a $50 3D plastic decal.

You can call or e-mail SLP and get the production number of the car. No dash plaque.

SLP didn't do WS6's. They were from the factory that way. SLP did the firehawks.

WRONG, well your partially correct.

SLP did do the 1996-1997 WS6 cars, as well as the Firehawks. in 1998+ ASC did the WS6 conversions

yeah most likely the bumper has been replaced as most body shops don't know that is a separate piece... my bumper has been replaced twice and the first time i was informed it was separate and $50+ and the second time the body shop didnt know but it came up in conversation about bumper covers and i told them it was separate and they looked it up and sure enough it was... since the insurance company was paying both times i made sure to get it.. although even if i had paid out of pocket i probably would have still got it.. the bumper looks too plain without it.

it doesnt show up very well in this pic on a black car but you can tell its there

Beautiful car. Scrutinize it heavily though, I can tell just from the pics that it's been wrecked in the front end.

I'm not really referring to the bird emblem (although that's one indicator). There's a lot of misalignment in the panels on the front end in that pic. Might not be as bad in person, but the picture throws up some red flags.
