You went to the track on "Honda Day"? Great run. What's your next mods? Any special launch technique?

Haha yea it said that but it really wasn't Honda day. Next mods will be a new intake, LT's, catted mid-pipe and that should be good for a little while.

No real special launch technique. I stalled it to about 1700 and nailed it on green. Car did the rest and I was proud of it.

Default 2009 Pontiac G8 Tuning

I was just curious where you got your G8 tuned OR if you tuned the car yourself and with what programmer? I'm wanting to do this as well. p.s. what kind of mileage are you getting with that 93 tune?

Car was tuned by TT Performance in Little Falls, NJ using HPTuners. My recent tune with the LT's got me an average of 29mpg on the way home but it's settled to around 22mpg with mixed driving.

If you Jersey guys ever put together a track day at ATCO let me know. I'd
drive up for a few tenths.

I am planning on running the car at Etown this week if the weather cooperates but an ATCO day will be in order but probably closer to the fall since the temps are getting up there now. I will let you know!

What did it make for power before and after the LT's? The CAI and tune is the setup I'd like to run for a while. Probably toss on some axlebacks or a catback as well to make it sound nice. I know what you're saying about trying to decide where to put the money

319RWHP/335RWTQ - SAE on a dynojet - Homemade CAI/Tune
327RWHP/345RWTQ - SAE - Vararam Intake/Tune

Times in sig were done with the homemade intake/tune.

^Great improvement with the new intake. I was really set on the Rotofab just because it looks so good, but it's hard to argue with power numbers like that! You said you have headers on it now? Any numbers with the headers?

Yea I had it tuned last week.

348RWHP/364RWTQ. Gains with just the LTs & VR intake with tune were over 50+RWHP and 40+RWTQ over the baseline all on the same dyno.

Those are some rediculous gains! Do you still run the stock exhaust? How does it sound? I was noticing that my stock G8 sounds like a 6 cylinder, but my father's stock 2004 GTO sounds pretty damn good in comparison.

I am currently running the American Racing Header catted LT system all the way back to the stock mufflers. I think this sounds just about perfect as its still really quiet when you are cruising and when you nail it, plenty of V8 roar. The aftermarket axle-backs for these cars typically produce a lot of drone and it was something I would not tolerate. I originally had a Pypes axle-back on the car which sounded really good IMO and had minimal drone at highway speed. When I switched the rest of exhaust, I knew it would be too loud so I went back to the stockers.

It would probably sound great but this is a DD and I have the other car to make a lot of noise. Plus some may figure I'm stock and be a bit surprised.
