I'm not sure if this is a common issue but I hooked the laptop up to the G8 GT, went to read the PCM, and it popped up as an 08' Cadillac CTS V6? It wouldn't completely read and said security access denied, or something close to that.

Any input on this?..I'm clueless!

I found my answer on the HPTuners forums, software update.

Yeah you have to download the newest version (2.22) of HPTuners, I still had the 2.20.

You might want to email them and request the "Beta" it gives you access to more tranny params.

My 2009 G8 needed 2.23 beta. Wouldn't work without it..You have to contact customer support and get it from HPT directly. They will load it to your customer account so you can download it.
