Not really an issue with the right software.

it is popular with the Vette crowd but the build quality is CRAP. Not ALL of the kits are bad but alot are. They have to silcone the filter in so it's airtight(gaps to let dirt thru) and lots of parts that aren't plastic welded together very good. Check out Corvetteforum.com in the C5 section and check some of the most recent Vararam threads. They have pics of the horrible build quality. It sucks because i know the performance gains from them are supposed to be AWESOME. Alot of guys just installed anyway and said that once it's in, the flaws aren't noticable. but who wants to pay $300+ on an intake they have to modify to make work right and looks like it's gonna fall apart in their hands. I HOPE the G8 crowd gets a better built unit.

I've heard that the C5 kits had issues but their new C6 units were much better. I think they changed suppliers, etc. Hopefully the G8 kits will be built like the C6 stuff.

If it turns out to be that bad, there's always the New Era OTRCAI, which is a very nice piece.
