Default Rotofab or New era performance intake? Which do you prefer?

It seems both have good reviews. Is this a case of preference and both are good or is one a bit better than the other? Please no trolling! Don't want the thread locked.

thanks
Mike

Do you have exhaust on yours? How come the car is so quiet even with exhaust? SLP loudmouth seems to be the best in terms of making anykind of noise. Everything else sounded stock, at least from the youtube clips.

I see that your engine cover is in place.

On the vararam set up it isn't. I am lead to guess that the vararam set up can't be installed unless you remove the engine cover.

Correct?

I just ordered a Roto Fab today for my 2009 GXP.

I removed my engine cover the day I bought the car home, they are only there for asthetics reason and tend to hold heat in.

I have the New Era OTR intake on mine and I am very happy with it. I have a friend that has the Roto-fab and his car feels just as strong. I think they are pretty equal just a personal preferance on the appearance.

You wouldnt really be able to do much with the hood scoops. If you take the plastic pieces off where the vents are under the hood you would be able to see. We took them off on Mike @ New Era's G8 GT just to see, but they are very restrictive and wouldnt do much. We utilize the front grill for our intake.

Now all you need is the HSRK. I have the roto fab on my car. I'm not saying its the best but my numbers speak for themselves.
