We finally got a chance to install the Kooks Custom 1 7/8" Shorty Headers on our GXP shop car. Several people were asking for an audio clip, so I took it out yesterday and got some video.

We haven't yet had it back on the dyno, but it feels like it pulls harder on the street.

The camera mic must be pretty sensitive, because it sounds louder on camera than it does in person. Personally, I love the way it sounds and it's still quiet and drone free inside the car at cruising speeds.

Sorry for the wind noise, I was going to make another video today, but it has been raining pretty hard all day.

The lack of exhaust or engine noise is what really bothers me on these cars. I love the sound of yours.

Were the shorties a notable improvement relative to the stock manifolds in terms of hp gains?

 

We haven't yet had it back on the dyno, but it feels like it pulls harder on the street. We are slammed right now with customer work and customer cars come before our cars. I hope to have number soon.
