Default Sold the Jeep SRT8, back in an LSX vehicle (finally).

Sold the Jeep. It was awesome, but I wanted to get back in an LSX vehicle. I was thinking Camaro, but the back seat is entirely too small to carry my growing family so I got the much roomier, only 100lbs heavier G8 GT. It's bright red with the red two tone leather interior and factory 19" wheels. I've already put a tune in it and boy it runs soooo much better. Great car. I'll post pics soon. Gotta change my signature and sig picture.

Sounds like the same color as my GXP
I hope you can get to tune mine!!!
I really do not like the 6l80 trans with the rear gearing as it hunts all the time to find the correct gear in traffic and shifts way too early for normal driving.

Put me on your to do list.

Boy, you got that right. I just wonder how I'll make my power with this car...hmmm...probably a blower.

Congrats on the new G8.

I loved the SRT-8 too, but the curb weight and MSRP sent me elsewhere.

IMO, the ONLY intelligent conclusion anyone can come to.

If I could have added a huge backseat and giant trunk to my C6 for around 100lbs, I'd have done it in a heartbeat.

GM needs to save the G8 (Zeta sedan).
If they don't, it will be the F@ck up of the century in my opinion.

Which blower setup are you leaning towards? I'm assuming you've already spec'd a cam for it too?

I would like to know what Patrick thinks would be a good working cam for these cars. Getting rid of AFM, and one for a daily driver with a lot of power.......

Congrats on the car! What is in the G8 GT? Ls2? I'm not in the know when it comes to these, I know more about the Firehawk G8s than the GTs. All I know is that I love the G8 cars and I am thinking that my next purchase might be one (or a re-badged chev version-whatever)

In the 2008s the engine is a L76 6.0 V8 6 speed auto (G8 GTs)

In the 2009s the engine is the same in the GT's

but in the GXPs you can get a 6 speed manual LS3 6.2 liter or

a 6 speed automatic 6.2 liter would be an L99 (with AFM)

Those LS3s pull hard! So basically the GT is similar to the LS2?
