Default g8 gt l76 vs g8 gxp ls3

aside from the extra .2 liters and a larger cam in the gxp, is there any significant difference engine wise between the 2? I think both have same style heads and intake. I don't think the .2 liters is a big difference horsepower-wise, so is the 50 horsepower or so difference cam and tune related?

Head's and intake are different. Different as in better.

LS3's make great power and flow very well from the factory. I think it's marginally better then that 6.0 in the GT.

They have the same heads(L92 the only difference is the LS3 uses the sodium filled valves) and intake. The GT comes with less cubes(obviously) smaller cam and is tuned to run on 87 where the GXP I believe was set up to run 93.
