Default Pretty good day at the track...

No new personnel best in this hot muggy crap (2000+ DA) but I ran 11.53-11.58 on motor 3 times in 10 minutes! So close! The new gear makes it so easy to run 1.5 60' which gets the car moving! Can't wait to see what it runs in cooler weather, drag times had the DA correction at .2-.3 and I changed clothes twice just sweating the whole time.

It rained this morning and the track wouldn't hold the car the first few passes so I parked and let the sun do its job. Went back out a little later and the car dead hooked every time!

Our club also had 4 other G8's at the track ranging from mild cam/heads to just boltons. Most were in the 12.8-13.1 range for the three modded GT's and the M6 GXP (his first time to the track) also got a 13.1 I believe. I think everyone had a good time!

Sweet times in high DA. You will be in the 11.20s once you get some mine shaft air. Congrats.

Thanks, thats what I'm looking forward too! Sad thing is I dont even have a tune for the new mods. Intake manifold, intake, exhaust, gears are all different from last time I got tuned and timing is still pulled for a 100+ shot. Think I'm gonna buy HPtuners soon so I can have a dedicated NA tune and switch to a N2O tune when needed. Probably not a ton left on the NA side but a tenth is a tenth.

Everything worked very well with the 9"! I got 3.70's and a spool which I believe makes the drivetrain a bit lighter and more efficient. She leaves so straight and hard with the spool, I love it. An NA only car would be fun with 3.89 or 4.11 gears on proper tire. I chose 3.70 since I dont want to go into 5th on spray. I thought the Camaro 3.45's were fun but the car wants to jump out of its skin with the 3.70's.

NICE! Good to see the combination is working good for you, especially in the heat. How high are you turning your motor? Don't know how "slow" you plan to run on the spray but with 3.45's I am already turning 6600-6700 thru the traps in 4th running a 27" tire. If you want to medal in this event, plan on 5th gear or 7200. To turn mine up any higher, I will need to upgrade to dual springs. Mine will float the exhaust valve past 7000.

Might have to upgrade to a drag pack this Fall to stay with the pack.
