I like the part where they say
"Pontiacs successful recipe is a touch of GTO and a splash of Trans Am blended with a healthy doses of futuristic technology and cool, contemporary style"

How do I get the performance data from the Motor Trend test of the U.S. spec Pontiac G8 A.S.A.P.??????
I'm about to buy my first new import (Infiniti G35x) and I wanted to read the Motor Trend G8 test in hopes that it would convince me to pass on the Infiniti.
Does any one have 1/4 mile times for the U.S. spec G8's?
I kept track on the Holden Commodore track results posted by Aussie owners and I remember 14.1@100mph seemed to be the average.

Okay, why does that one have a raised spoiler? All the concepts stuff i saw had the little, dinky, "edge" spoiler on the back. This one has a raised "iroc" style spoiler. I like.

I looked on Pontiac's web page yesterday and I have to say that it's getting a stout 365hp. So we are looking at 300rwhp maybe? Dont hold me to that I am just calculating drive train loss due to the atuomoatic trtanny.
Would be badass if threw a 6spd as an option......but so far I am digging it. too bad for a loaded on will net you just over 30k I would supose? guess we will have to wait until it comes out and we get to see actual price tags.....
Looks good though, if they did this right, they could give Cadillac a run for their money on the CTS-V? That would be kewl.

I'm sure GM won't allow the G8 to get too close the the CTS-V, eventhought they are targeted to slightly different consumers. Besides, I read were the new CTS-V is going to have close top 525 hp

Very nice...can't wait to see them on the road.
I think it would be a good competitor for the previous CTS-V, especially at the price it will be at...but as for the 08 CTS..all I have to say is that the new CTS is AMAZING..and I only drove the regular CTS that is out now...once the V comes out..I think it is going to be a major hit. By far the best cadillac ever.
