Went to Speedworld Raceway in Phoenix last night for some runs on street tires. I honestly wasn't expecting to get any decent launches, but I smoked the heck out of the Sumitomo HTR Z tires and they worked decent. Plus there was a bunch of VHT down from the Pro race earlier in the day. Previously with the six speed setup my best was a 2.0 60ft on street tires and a 12.98 at 114mph. Kudos to Greg at FTIfor building me a stout setup. I'm getting some DR's for next weekend and we will see whats in store. Oh yeah I almost forgot, I had to short shift into 2nd because it was breaking the tires loose and bouncing off the rev limiter. So I shifted at 6400 going into 2nd and 6700 going into 3rd. I'll look up the DA info and post that as well. Run was on 1/8 tank of gas, full interior, spare tire and speaker box removed. I weigh 275 also. DA was 1700ft. So funny numbers at sea level could have been 12.05@115.5.

Best run

60ft 1.8175

330ft 5.1944

1/8et 7.9419
1/8mph 89.84

1000et 10.2260
1000mph 102.74

1/4et 12.2854
1/4mph 113.26

I see you're running on your level 2 shafts and stubs. But have you done any sorts of "beefing up" to the pumpkin? Harrop cover or anything?

Nothing, it's still the stock diff and gears, no harrop cover or anything. All I have is drag bags and craddle bushings. I'll be changing to a spool for this coming season. I really dont understand how the stock diff has survived, LOL

Me either, but I'm glad it has. Give me faith that mine "should" last. LOL

I think the reason it has lasted so long is it's simplicity. Have you ever torn one apart? There is a spider gear on each side with 3 springs inside each other that push against the spider gears. That's it. It's a really simple posi unit.

12.3 a couple of years ago with a GT2-3 and GMPP LS6 heads. Haven't been back to the track since. Changed the cam twice since then. Should be in the 11's based on the numbers when I last had it on the dyno. We'll see.

thats where i did my run too....like a week after my cam install i flew there to pick-up my car----bro. had it but that is another story....so with hardly any seat time and a nice list of new mods.....

i ran a 13.2 @110....they asked me to put on a helmet after that...and didn't bring one.... a guy in a convert. SS let me borrow his...but learning how to drive a car that picked up over 80hp was a lil bit of a chore launches were all horrible. going back this march to try again.
