I just bought an 04 GTO Barbados Blue bone stock M12 car and everywhere i go people are telling me how rare the color is,for instance,i went to the drag strip the other day and this guy told me that there was only 200 made of this color in 04,i know someone on this board has an exact number of cars produced in this color,any info would be great.

 

271 M6 and 302 A4s Barbabos Blue Metallic were made in 04

 

Yeah it is definately one of, if not the rarest. Over on the goat forums they have the build numbers broke down.

 

It is rare but doesn't affect the value one bit.

 

Give it time...maybe 20 years from now, it'll command a higher price, especially if it has other odd ball or rare options.

 

Did these cars really have any rare options?

 

Well there was the W40 edition for the 04's that was "special". Other than that yeah there was a very small amount of the 05's made with the 04 flat hood, I would say that is the one with the biggest chance of being worth anything more.

 

It has an LS1,that is the only option it needs.

 

I think I have only seen 5 of them around.

Had Barbados been available in 06' when we bought ours, it would have been a no brainer for sure. Beautiful color!! especially on these cars.

 

Nice pick up but the 05 with the 04 hood option is the rarest. I think less than 10 were ordered that way.

 

22 were made.

 

i would have to say that the barbados blue and the cosmic purple are the 2 rarest colors for the GTO
