Where did you get your gears from and how much?

I bought mine from a guy locally. Got a 3rd member, gears, spring tuning kit, axles, stubs, and new TTY bolts for a grand.

Yep, all the gears are on national back order but should be shipping towards the end of the month.
As far as the strength of the GTO diff. It's plenty strong.
I make the largest stubs on the market for the GTO, huge 33 spline made of 300m. We also make a 33 spline spool and offer a modified Eaton truetrac posi.
There are a couple sponsors on here that you can buy these products through, SNL Performance being one of them.

Hendrix Engineering has a great 8.8 conversion and Vengeance can do the swap.
bring it in the morning and pick it up in the afternoon.
You can buy almost any gear ratio you can think of at about $160 +-

Default 4.10's are available

Actually 4.10's are available through Difftech in Au. and currently more available than the 3.91's because they are after market manufacture. My question is you sure you want to go that low in ratio. With the 3.91's my 65 mph cruising rpm went up to 3500 and don't worry about the strength they are plenty strong. Gforce has run low 9's with this setup, I have gone low 10's with a totally stock rear, and I mean out of a junk yard stock when I pulled the 3.91's out..

You cruise around 2200 in 6th w/4.56's? Are you running an 8.8? different gearing in your trans? Either way that's pretty damn low. That's about what I run at 65-70.

i am running a 9" rear and my speedo is not resest yet but it is 15mph off when going 60mph. so what ever a stock 6 speed is turning @ 80 is about what i would be doing @65 right around 2200rpm.

You will have to swap all of that into a rear diff housing or have someone that knows how do it for you. It is not an easy task to set up a differential properly.

I installed this kit in my 06 6sp with 515rwhp and a srage 4 clutch they work amazing i do have 30yrs tech experience but if you are going to go from stock ratio to 4:10 gears its going to have to be disassembled any way. I realise the difficulty but if you want to play you either have to pay or learn. If someone has some mechanical ability and patience and can read they can accomplish setting up a differential (with proper tools and equipment) not minimizing the difficulty just saying its possible. So i was just saying these kits are available.

They make a 4.11 gear here down under for the goats. We all run them and they're fine. Link below is a reputable shop I use. Gears that match the goat are referred to as M80 Holden/HSV Commodore
