Default exhaust

I'm looking to put a little bit of tone to my goat for the time being. I am thinking about puting an X pipe leading to some magnaflows. What do you guys think? I need to hear some sound clips of other exhaust systems too if anybody has any.

here's mine but it's altered by several other things. i have a fairly nice sized cam, LT headers, X pipe and 2 1/2" custom bent tubes going out some Borla Intercooled tips. the LTs and cam add a lot of volume all by themselves. i have 18" x 3" Power Sticks (chambered muffs) up front in the mid-pipes and 2 1/2" Spintech Pro Streets in the stock '04 position. yeah, that's four mufflers and it's still pretty loud.

I posted mine up above... Im running the SLP LM1's, Mine is an 04 as well but im running the 05-06 bumper. The 04 GTO has duel exhaust, its just routed to one side instead of spit like the 05-06. You can get the Banshee inserts from PYFC which comes with a templit ect to cut out the rear bumper so you can change it to split duels...

The inserts are going to be the cheaper route.... But its up to you what you wanna do.... IMO i would go with the PYFC inserts....

Are you planning on getting Longtubes??? If so you can get Catless mid pipes and get a tune so the Check engine light doesnt come on.... If you plan on just removing the stock cats and keeping the OEM Mids and Manifolds, Just Have a local shop wipe out the code.... Talk with a performance shop that deals with GTO's about the dummy plugs....

You wouldn't exactly NEED a tune but your going to get better numbers out of your mods with a tune to truely unlock the potential. Also about the slp exhaust I'm not too sure how they sound, but the most popular exhaust I see people having on their gtos would be either corsa or spintech, a little bit pricier but i think its worth it for the sound.

i dont know if this will work or not but its painless and quick. when i changed my oil i turned my car on and the check engine light came on, so i talked to some club members and they told me how to reset the gagues, like i said i dont know if it will fix the O2 sensors but it may get rid of the check engine light

1)turn car to accessory
2)press gas to floor 3 times
3)quickly after that hold it to the floor for 5 seconds
4)then let off and start it up.

it worked with my check oil light but i thought hey it never hurts to share my 2 cents because its free and painless

I like the sound of anything through magnaflows. Keeps it relatively calm when driving through town, then as soon as you get on it everyone knows you mean business.

Those have been proven to actually steal horsepower from the stock setup.

That has nothing to do with the Check engine light.... You do that after every oil change to reset the oil change ticker, When your Oil light comes on its letting you know its time for an oil change.....
