they changed it so it goes down when your 21. not a big difference. credit is a part, plus they have our cars for preformance wise on a scale from 10 (like a bugati veron) to a 1 (handa civic dx). gto's are classified as a 8, same as a std corvette. a camaro is a 5.

I am 24 with good credit and spotless driving record, but for some reason pay $170 a month full coverage. Dont know why my insurance is so high, but it is everywhere I get quotes from.

Im 22 have excellent credit, 2 points on my license, and $100 ded and $2,500 custom parts, full coverage includng glass. I pay $200 a month. With that being said the car is part of the problem. But color of the car( orange, red and yellow all have higher insurance rates), and the state you live in play a large factor in it too. My friend the same age as me lives in maryland has 6 vehicles all listed as work trucks,( ford diesel 2 cummins trailblazer ss chrysler aspen silverado vortec max) and he pays 3200 a year. I have the GTO and it cost me 2390 a year It would be $15 cheaper a month for me to have 2002 vette on my current plan.

28, and I pay 221 a month for my 05 GTO, and a 2000 Jeep Cherokee ($250.00 deductible). When I only had the GTO on my insurance it was 165 a month, but after adding my fiance(who had two accidents back in 06') I got boned.

I have good credit, and no accidents myself, but living in one of the worst places in the entire country for accidents/auto theft doesn't help.

Same here. Almost $40.00 a month less. I miss the days when I had my 99 firehawk Formula and a 94 Camry XLE and I was paying $95 a month.

something like $570 every 6 months for a 2006 GTO as daily driver.

It did go up about 6 months ago for no reason.

Clean driving record, no points, 79x+ credit score, but do have a 25 mile drive to work.

a vette is cheaper to insure for me as well.

It depends on your age, driving record, credit, vechile. i work for a insurance company here in Texas. Every car has a symbol and the higher the symbol is the higher risk the car is. There are some company's that won' even take f-bodys gto
s etc unlessyou have 15 yrs of driving experince. I pay 150 a month with comp and collison. Differenct states have different property damage and Bodily injury. I would almost put money on the people that are paying less than 100 are just liabilty. They don't have comp and collison. Because you have to have a deduticble to have comp and collison. Some of theses people might still be on their parents policy is it is so cheap. I would just call around to agencys and get a quote. You can give them a vin nmber off a gto that is on ebay..

wow, you can really tell this car hit the used car market. when it was over $30k there weren't many under 25 that had one. anyways, my goat is a little cheaper than my wife's 2007 G6 GTP but it is 3 years older too. it is also about the same as the GP GTP i had before. it's $83 a month but Michigan is a "No Fault" insurance state which means the good drivers (i've had 1 ticket and no accidents in 25 years) pay for the bad drivers.

I pay 167 a month through travelers for full coverage.. I'm told it will go down significantly in Feb from a previous claim (was in a wreck, they paid medical). I have a clean record, no tickets, wish I was like some and on parents insurance!

Just traded in my '99 Trans Am for this '05 GTO last week, and my insurance inched up to $113/mo from $106/mo, full coverage $1000 deductible. I'm 23 and waiting for that age 25 discount!
