Talking New GTO owner, few mod questions

sup guys, new to the forum here so i thought i'd drop a few questions for ya'll since i'm not extremely knowing of the lsx motors. ok i'm in the air (chair?) force and i'm about to get shipped off for my basic. but when i get back i plan on getting me an 05-06 gto, and of course i plan on modding it big. i'm wanting to try to get 500 rwhp out of it and i might call it good, any ideas on how i can go about doing it? what i'm thinking to atleast start up the build are kooks 1 7/8' longtubes, spintech exaust, and a hpe megadeath cam. i keep going back and forth about either using spray or going with a supercharger . ya'll help will be greatly appreciated in my decision making

Depends on what your looking to spend, if your gonna be going for power that big you have to take the driveline into consideration as well that cost money.... Such as, Half shafts, Clutch, Drive shaft ect ect.... Engine wise I would go with 1 7/8 Longtubes, Fast 92, 92mm TB, Patriot Stage 3's, V2 Cam, Tune, Maybe some Meth or nos..... Or, you can just buy a STS kit or maggie and call it a day....

thanks man, how much do the maggie's costs? i haven't actually heard of those. and what all would i need to support it, would the 1 7/8 headers exaust and cam still all be able to be used with it? i'm not exactly planning on aan overnight 500, more like a project i can gradually increse to my liking. so i guess you could say money is no object.

Well your supporting mods and a good set of TFS 225's or L92 heads, FAST 92mm intake, 92 mm TB and an underdrive pulley should get you to around 500 with a proper tune.

A maggie is probably around 5800 or so.... A maggie alone on a stock motor should get you to around 430-440whp.... So with a set of Longtubes, cam or heads you will be way over 500whp....
