Ummmmm, I pay $585 every 6 months for my 2004 GrandAm, 2002 z28, 2003 s10 Zr2 and a 1994 s10 4x4. This is in the state of Ohio. Last year, I was living in the Los Angeles area and I paid $1220 a year for liability ONLY on my 2 trucks. Now, I have both me and my wife with full coverage and twice the vehicles for the same price.......Go Figure......I was feeling beaten alive living in California.......

Threads like this are pretty useless without additional information such as: age, gender, location, driving record, policy discounts (multiple vehicles, homeowners, etc).

Credit?? I didn't think that had anything to do with your insurance...This is new to me.

I pay around $180.00 a month for full coverage on two cars. I think my camaro is the bulk of that though.

Sway99bird and I pay 350/month for a trans am, gto, and a dually full coverage on all vechiles with 500 ded on comp and collision. I work for an insurance compay and how we do the quotes is according to the symbol...Vechiles go by symbol based on perfomance and roll over rate etc. There are some companies that wont even take performance vechiles with out 15 years of driving experience.

i was paying 900ish a year when i had my TA and i was 20. (94 ta). i turned 71 and was paying 636 a year.
my gto with full coverage is 1200ish a year and im now 22.

why not just pay your own insurance and get your own policy? it could be cheaper than staying on your parents plan.

Not a bad idea but i want to get a quote first. our insurance went WAY down when we switched to this new company so it could be rather cheap if under my dads name. but i need to be sure i can make monthly installments also so it would help to have my rents cover it. the ford explorer i drive now alone proves i could pay for a GTO though lol with TERRIBLE gas mileage and parts always failing maybe i could afford the car with full coverage.
