Bringing my baby home
Hey all,
I picked up an LS2 motor today for my pickup. I got it out of an '06 GTO with 28k miles. They wanted to sell the LS2 and T56 together, but the T56 won't fit in my truck (I'm keeping the bench seat). I took a few pics of the donor GTO and I figured I'd share them with you. So sad, it was like being at a funeral.

No, sorry. I don't have the T56. I did eventually talk them into selling me just the motor. And as bad as I felt over the demise of this poor GTO it didn't stop me from picking over it's rotting corpse.

Actually, I guess that leads to a question I have. I got the motor, wiring harness, computer, clutch, flywheel, air duct with the mass airflow sensor, and the pedal assembly while I was there. Can anybody tell me what are all the components I'm going to need for the drive-by-wire? The guy at the salvage yard was saying something about another computer for the throttle? I'd appreciate any info you can share. I haven't been able to find much on exactly what all components I'll need. Thanks!
