new drag times...not happy

The car probly fell on its face coming out and had to wait for rpms to shoot up again. I think that was the problem that you hook to much. You need to come out harder so yeah stall..

Get a smaller stall if worried about daily driving or up the gear ratio. Not all the tracks are the same so you might not due as good as some but as long as its fast enough for you. I would get a 3800 stall.. you can always rev up car to take off faster from a light you know..

My 06 is 388 and 340 with shorties, no cats, comp 224-228 xer, 3000 stall unlocked and tune so you are pretty close to me numbers wise. So far my best 1/4 was a 12.504 @108.52 with a 1.768 60' but that was before the cam and I was using slicks on a well preped track.

My bad saw there ls6 heads i thought they were 5.3 heads. So those are 64cc heads and should be like 10:5:1 like the z06 but should still be in the 400hp range but all depends on tuner too

Don't worry about the dyno numbers. I've got almost the same setup as you do, except with a stall and I have the same NA hp #'s. When I first got it tuned I was pissed about my #'s, but when I got to the track I saw my times and felt much better. My times are better because of the short times. Practice, dump the Nitto's (dropped my 60ft by .3) and get the MT's, get a stall and practice. I've got a stall set between 3000-3200 and it's perfect for track use and daily driving. I've probably got 100 passes on the trans and rear and "knock on wood" haven't broken anything yet. Oh yeah, have fun with it, try not to get so frustrated.

Yup bone stock in the rear end. I have the pedders setup for the rear. Big bore shocks, drag springs and most of the bushing. When I put in the springs, shocks and bushings the wheel hop went away completely. When I switch from Nitto's to MT's the wheel spin pretty much disappeared. Even when I spin a little my 60's aren't over 1.9. Again get a stall suited for your cam and then look at the rear suspension.

I have a 3200 Vig and streetwise it's perfect. I'm just surprised your running that cam on a stock converter, that's crazy. Do you at least have a tranny cooler? I'd be worried about frying the tranny more than anything. No matter ANYONE tells you, a stock converter is NOT meant to handle that size of a cam, not one bit, I don't care who tunes it. That's why there are aftermarket converters. Out of curiousity, how is the car on the street? I'm surprised that cam isn't just pushing straight through your converter...does the car lurch badly, etc.? Again just curiousity questions.
Another member had a good comment about bringing the RPM's up at the line...keep in 3 and bring RPM's upto 2k and ease into it.
All comments so far have been good but at least invest in an aftermarket converter and tranny cooler.

No. '04 A4's are dogs, trust me I have one. ALOT if not most of the '04 A4 dynoed stock 280-290HP and that comes from one of the most repected board sponsors who is prob. the best tuner in the Northeast.
