I had no brakes at low rpm , tried the canister , eventually had to install electric one from comp cams .I installed it in the fender , had to cut a little to fit , do not let it touch the guard as it will do damage.

dont personally know the specs but it is big , takes most of my vacuum that when i apply brakes the pedal hits the metal. once i installed the electric pump the brakes work fine .

What is funny to me.....I have had three GTO's now. All three with heads/cam.
Two were fine and the third had the same problems you are mentioning.
Sounds like maybe the issue is with the brake system rather than the lack of vacuum? I never could get it to work right at low speed. Demodded and traded it last year for a G8.
Good luck getting it worked out.
