Saggy springs, rotted bushings, terrible wheel hop with the IRS, overall it just sucks. The car handles and brakes like a suburban.

Sure, there's some aftermarket parts to fix this but, you can't polish a turd.

The gto is and will always be, a big lazy highway cruiser.
My cars got 41,xxx miles and i run it as hard as i can, and it runs mid 7's 1/8 mile stock suspension with zero wheel hop m6 with slicks

IF your going to get a vette over a GTO make it a C6 instead of a C5. While C5's can be quick for the the extra cost you get the LS2 in a platform that wont have issues in terms of wheel choices and fitment.

Even though GTO owners have this issue with wheels I wouldnt personally get rid of my GTO. It was a limited run production car and with all these young knuckeheads totalling them out and getting sent to Cleveland Pick a Part, they will eventually be even more rare in the future.
