What shocks me is the stock IRS and a 8.8 inch axle can survive an F1-R Procharged 427.

He blew an LS7 427 earlier.

Thanks Al and thanks for the props guys. I was honored and thrilled to be in GM Hightech. There was alot of info left out in the article so if you are wondering anything about the car feel free to ask. The East Coast Shootout IV will be November 12th.

You running the th400 behind it or the 4l80? I for some reason can not remember. Is notching the fender for the f1-r and f1-c that bad? Looking at both for when I do my 427 but I knew the fender must be notched.

Scott Grant narrowed the rear in order to fit a 28x10.5/15 tire UNDER the rear. He cut the ends of the control arms and welded them back removing material from both sides. The axles also had to be shortened. Scott is the head fabricator for the 48 and 88 cars in the Nascar series. He was the mastermind behind the rear setup. He actually built my setup for his own GTO originally.

As Tom stated I am running the 4l80e from RPM. Notching the fender is not that bad. Eric Yost did mine and from the looks of it, it wouldn't be hard if you have any sheetmetal experience. You will need to relocate the computer but it's not that bad.

My dad works with sheetmetal everyday building airplanes so that probably wouldn't be much of a deal. Where did you end up putting the ECU at? Would look a lot better out of there anyway along with it allowing you to run the f1-r.

Would you need mini-tubbs to run either 27X15X10.5,28X15X12.5,or 30X15X12.5 M/T ET Streets?

I will take a picture when I get a chance. It is basically on the side of the fender instead of the top. I then put a piece of nasa heat shield on it to protect it from the header.
