So the other day i drove my car around a little and ran the gas way down to empty before putting about a half tank of gas in. To my surprise when i started the car up the gas needle shot straight to full?? No check engine and runs great still. Im wondering if anyone has had this happen to them before or might know what is going on. I've heard from local guys that its not good to let them get down to almost empty because the floater can get stuck at the bottom. What do you guys think?

Had this happen to my old GTP, turned out the floater was broken for the same reason you stated... I let it get too low.
