my current front tires are in great shape, my rears are just shot. i wanna get some 275 nittos and put them as well as my current fronts on my stock wheels and black them out as well. that way when i want to prowl around for some mustangs, i wont look to suspiciously different lol

Hahaha ya now your talkin' man.. I just run the mickeys street radials.. I drive around on the street with them and go straight to the track and hook hard. They actually made the car ride alot smoother too. Anyway, whatever you end up doing you should let me know what kind of times you get after you get some better rubber underneath ya lol. Goodluck bro

Very smart man. If i could do it again i would have started with those 3 mods and basically shave a full second off your time. I bet the car goes 8.0s @ 85 with just those mods in the 1/8th.

So you painted the rims? How did you go about it if that's the case?

I spray canned my stock wheels with some gloss black autozone paint. I used the 500 degree engine stuff. It turned out pretty decent at first but they constantly need touched up now that time has passed. Only reason i did it myself is bc my wheels were curbed bad on every wheel. Cheap easy cover up i guess lol.

bought a gravity fed hvlp paint gun, a quart of duplicolor paint shop automotive paint, a quart of paint shop automotive clear. scuffed the entire wheel with red scotchbrite scuff pads, cleaned thoroughly, cleaned again, blew off with air nozzle, wiped with tack cloth, sprayed 3 coats of gloss black, and 2 good thick coats of clear. also painted my engine covers gloss black to match.
