painting wheels.... help?...
ive been going back and forth between wheels and headers. ive decided to get both. im gonna paint my wheels and use the money to get some kooks headers. ive never painted wheels before. Are there any suggestions that anyone has about prep work, what paints work best, etc... thanks for any help

Are you going to paint them the factory silver? There is a code for that color that you can get at a automotive paint supply store. Also they are painted from the factory. If you cannot paint try a body shop to repaint them for you.

Need a little more info on how you are going to apply the paint { spray can or spray gun}. The biggest problem with these wheels are the lips are prone to curb scratches so if you paint or powdercoat at least you can touch them up. The easiest way to prep them is a cleaner then a scuff pad, cleaner again then paint. Cleaners and scuff pads can be bought anywhere they sell paint. Now that is the easiest way to do them! If you take them to a body shop they will prep them and use products that will let the paint adhere better and last longer, also if you have them powdercoated and ever get curb rash you can touch up with black paint.
