GTO help
Okay (sorry if this is not the right place to post this) so theres this 04 i think GTO roller that I really want. It is in nice condition and has everything, all interior and everything. just no engine or transmission. I could get it for about 4k. I can get an LS engine for about 2k and a transmission for around the same price probably like 3k together. and i will have to take it somewhere or get somebody to install these things. Should I do it?

if you did the work yourself yes but if you let a shop do it just drop a h/c/i ls7.....it means alot more if you did it yourself....but r and r is going to run 2k then add another 1k for the stuff that is going to be missing and break in the process

3k for a LS1 with transmission would be really cheap IMHO. I think you'll be closer to 5-6K for a good one. Make sure you get all matched electronics too. That would put it up closer to buying a whole GTO. I guess if you do the work yourself AND can get a uber cheap drivetrain . . . .
