suspension/brake upgrade suggestions needed.
A customer is wanting to upgrade his 04 6speed GTO to do a little competitive driving. From what we've gathered he'd like to test his skills on a road coarse. He's got a reasonable budget to start with and so far this is what we've come up with.
1. coilovers - from what we've researched, BC is a competitive brand that is within a decent budget. They have a good range of adjustability and seem to be good quality. Opinions?
2. tires - staying within budget remember, stock sized (245/45/17) NT01 tires.
3. Brembo blank rotors
4. Hawk HPS pads
5. DOT5 fluid
6. polyurethane bushings
7. short throw shifter - MGW is my recommendation, I had one in my Firebird and it was a great shifter.
8. CAI - recommendations?
9. Catback - recommendations?
10. tune.

BC racing coilovers are basically Pedders XA coilovers for a much cheaper price, I recommend them, they are very good for the price.
Have you done an 05/06 brake conversion?
Strut top bushings and radius rod bushings.
I suggest MGW as well, great shifter IMO.
CAI, svede or Vara Ram
Catback, whatever he thinks sounds the best.

4. Hawk HPS pads - Get a front '05 caliper set and use the Hawk HPS pads for a C5 and Russel braided lines. The rears are the same as a '04
5. DOT5 fluid
6. polyurethane bushings - Energy Suspension kit filled in with Lovells strut mounts and front radius rod bushings
7. short throw shifter - MGW.
8. CAI - Svede
9. Catback - I'd get LTs first
