Wish me luck, I'm going 6 point this week. Rihht now most of the floor is cut out of my 04 and I'm cleaning up all of the edges so it will be ready to start putting the floor back in when I pick my bar up tomorrow.
Hey Frank, to be NHRA legal do I need to weld the 6" x 6" plates in if the bars are going to be tied into my new square tube floor bracing?

I have Toyota MR2 seats in mine....a lot lighter and more comfortable than the stock ones...plus if they are in good shape you can sell your stock ones for a good bit of money to fund your project
But if you pull your seats and belts you will set your airbag light.

name brand will have a higher price and last longer , than the cheapy ones , both will be alot lighter than stock
ive sat in alot of seats and not all are created equal , best thing is to find seats you feel comfortable in

S/C'd cav is right.....plus we are all built different so the perfect seat to one person might be unbarable to someone else.
On another note...I got and test fitted my main hoop last nice and its PERFECT

? Autopower is one of the best names in road racing and it's hardly considered cheap. This is my personal car and it's built for road racing and will never be down a dragstrip.

i was more surprised you just didnt have the shop make you one , the one that was made and fitted to my goat(which is BMR's goat) is very nicely done , granted its a 5 point , but adding a 6th is easy enough
autopower does make some good stuff , though my personal preference is custom and welded in vs off the shelf bolt ins
that is very true , once you past 6 points

guess you missed the LOL at the end of my comment

Bars....
Hey mark, you kinda a motivate me to do it myself man, that's looking kinda, will do for me, and with the savings, get the mig welder i need, and get away from my old Lincoln 225 stick welder, do you think the BMR fellas will make me the loop, since they already have the poster board pattern, i have hand grinder, shop saw, tube notching fixture-jig, i don't have the tube bender, but i can get my muffler shop buddy to do that, for the aft bars, sense i want them true the speaker board, so i can put rear seat in, when not racing, thanks for your contribution, David.

Or maybe I could make another pattern off my bar and just mail you the pattern?
