Glad to see a drag setup finally make its way onto the car!

Also curious about the lugs.
I hve ARP studs on all corners and didnt know if their closed end shank lugs would be long enough or if I should just get the open ended ones.
Thanks

So closed ends on all four corners. ARP's up front aswell?

No hurry. I'm holding off until next week to order so just get them up when you can. Thanks!

Awesome thanks.

I just wanted to see how far the fronts and rears stuck out from the fenders. My prostars had a far from perfect offset and the look sometimes bothered me.

You could do a 17/15 setup.
I cant see the brakes in the rear being too big for a 15

^ yes I'm sure that would fit fine. The 17 was wider than what I wanted though. Also not to many front runner tires in 17.

After seeing this thread, I got a set of 15x10-7.5" BS Race Stars for my wifes GTO.

The banjo bolt for the brake line to the caliper needs to be ground down at an angle, it hits hard enough that you will ruin the rim if you don't grind it down.

Also, the brake hose has a short steel section coming off the caliper that needs to be bent in and down to get the brake hose to clear the rim.

I will post a pick of my wifes gto with m/t 8.5x26-15 ET Drags sometime next week.

Side note, the washers that come from Race Star are cheap junk, and these rims are made in China

That looks very good.

I hope the 8.5 ET's tuck in that much, I test fit the bare rim and it looked like it stuck out further, but perhaps that was because the suspension was partially unloaded...

Yes I believe I mentioned the mods required to make the wheels work on the first page. You also will need to check the inner fender in the rear. It's the black plastic thing in the rear fenders. I had to trim mine a little but my tires are wider than what you are going with.

Yep, your description was very accurate. Just trying to reinforce that some minor mods will be needed, not just bolt them on and go.

How much was this set up 402 goat? from wheels and rims? You think you might know any named brand companies who sell these rims too? The pro stars look great on GTOS in general
