Helm Service Manuals FYI - the Helm manuals for the GTO are finally available. I received mine this morning. Here's my quick overview so far.
First impressions are - dang these things are heavy. A quick scan through tells me these books put the old Haynes and Chilton manuals I've used before to shame. It's 2 volumes - the first covers General info, HVAC, Steering, Suspension, Driveline / Axle, Brakes and Engine. The second covers Transmission / Transaxle, Body, Restraints, Vehicle Control Systems and Accessories (including 7 pages on the 'cellular communication setup). It seems each section includes general information, troubleshooting questions and written removal / repair / replace intructions with an abundance of diagrams. The books are pre-punched so you can put them together in a big 3-ring binder (It'd have to be like a 3 or 4" binder though, volume 1 is almost 1.5" and volume 2 is about 1.25").
