People make such a big deal about fbodies and Mustangs. Sure, they can be fast. BUT, they are still only $20K-$35K POS's IMO. They are plastic rattle traps that have strong drivetrains.

I just bought me a new 2003 Mach 1, i have to say i love it to death, i traded in my lightning for it. the main selling point on the Mach over GTO was the live rear axle. they are both awesome cars, and deserve alot of repect. i CANT STAND the people that bash the hell outa other models just because they own one. both are very nice, but i wish i had the quality interior the GTO has, gotta love those seats

He is comparing the ENGINES efficiency, not the CARS overall efficiency; The ls1 engine is making more horsepower and torque and I believe is carrying a tad bit more weight yet achieves the same or better fuel economy as the "high-tech" 4.6. Also, as he said, it is physically smaller, lighter, cheaper to modify and responds to basic bolt-ons better than the 4.6. I'll keep my 2v. GEN.III
