Default what to buy with $6000

Hey everyone, I'm wanting my Gto fast...just wondering what I should spend my $6000 on? I have 6.0 svede intake , jba headers catlless exhaust and a tune. Should I get heads and a cam? Or swing for pro charger? I'm just ready for the nexyt step.

you could buy a sweet h/c/i set up for 6000$. i did forged bottom end, custom grind cam ported 243's and a fast 92. as well as all the other supporting mods for around 6k. runs good, couldnt be happier. i also had the 4l60e built to handle the power.

Assuming you've fixed the basic radius rod/strut top bushings/motor mounts, sagging rear springs, and have at least a new clutch and a single piece driveshaft, then I'd spend it on:

FAST 102 & 102TB w/ 100mm MAF
Custom Cam
Spring Kit with titanium retainers
3/8 Pushrods
Comp trunion upgrade
Upgraded timing chain & oil pump
LS7 lifters & trays
Ported 243 heads or AFR/Trickflows
LS7/LS3 injectors
Underdrive Pulley

Get a blower for sure... TVS2300 if it's a DD street car or Procharger if the car spends most of it's time at the track.

I would get the drivetrain in order before you build power. The GTO stock setup wont take a lot of power.

Stay away from pro charger, there's too many draw backs, number one you can't use the factory fans #2 is on the way of hot air evacuation in front of the radiator and #3 is very hard to work on it and last all the pipe routing and intercooler in front of an already compromised cooling system, ask me how I know.
The tvs2300 is the way if it had to be a super charger but imo a heads and cam with a killer set heads will produce the same results considering the weight savings and simplicity.
You never mention if stick or auto but if auto a 3200 stall and a 4.10 set of diff gears.

I would not do a FAST 102 with a 6L. All the speed shops in my area are dead set against a FAST102 with anything less than an LS7 unless your doing FI. The motor is not big enough to be able to move air efficiently through that size intake specially at lower rpms but everything else on your list is on point.

Now if you ask me I would do the drive train the weakest link on this car. You start puting down some good hp down with sticky tires and youll be fixing and replacing with your car down more often than not. HP is easy to make belive me. Hell you can put a maggie on your stock 6L and youll be making close to 500rwhp with the right tune and fuelpump and upgraded injectors.

Good luck

Show me a single dyno where someone lost power with a Fast 102. They don't exist. They make more power everywhere because of the change in runner design.

Better than that. Before I went with the cast intake for my Corvette amd FI I had a FAST102 that I replaced a ported LS3 on what more ornless was a HCI engine only was forged for boost. Throttle response was sloshy at low rpms. Driving around town was painful at best. Once the car got up to speed no issues at all specially hooked up to the vararam. Over all gains where 4 hp once I went from a ported LS3 intake done by Cory at LS2 Port Works to the FAST102. But hey I guess some people dont like being challeneged in difderence of opinion with some lets say experience on the subject. No I dont have my old dyno sheet. But like I said difference of opinion thats all with some personal experience. Hope that doest ruffle anymore feathers.

No understand completely had L92 heads on my 6L iron block.guess u should ask before spouting hu?
Or maybe am wrong but an LS3 intake is a square port right and its used with L92 heads....and when ordering a FAST102 you have to specify whether cathedral or square ports. Maybe I missed something when I did my build.
