Default HPE Mega Death Cam

Im looking into getting the mega death cam by comp cams. I have a stock ls1 with LT headers, high flow cats, mufflers, and cai. By the time i get this cam i will have livernois stage 2 cnc ported 243 heads and edelbrock pro-flo xt manifold. The specs are 244/242 on a 112 w/ .612/.610 lift. Heads have what i believe are the stock valve sizes and dual .690 springs. Any one do this cam? If so did you have to flycut the pistons or change pushrod length? Yes its a donkey log cam im aware. Thanks.

You'd be better off looking on the GTO forum. Tons of people running that cam.

Streetable is different from person to person. It's really all in the tune. As far as flycutting goes, only way to know for sure is to measure, but I'm pertty sure that cam was made to fit stock heads. If the heads are unmilled, you should be ok.

That's a good size camshaft for a LS1. Hope your running a stickshift with some 4:10's or similar all motor car. Make sure you have new or super low mileage lifters and rockers on that guy.

This. I'd say 3.91's should be fine though.

Going to need alot of RPM's with that. I hope you have a 6 speed with a great clutch or a a4 with a huge stall.

intended use of the car should be the primary concern in selecting the cam not specs and dyno #s but I think we're past that
