I'm not taking that transmission down again to replace the disks, although it's a good idea. We had to take the transmission down twice because the new slave was leaking fluid after we installed the RXT. What a pain just to replace a $60 part and I'm getting old.

Completely understand, especially without a lift. Dunno how far Kurt is from you, but he's done a lot of work for GTO guys. If push comes to shove, he may be a good solution. Otherwise, just beat on it.

I went ahead and picked a National / Federal Mogul
#PB-656-HD, was a true sintered bronze, non magnetic.

Thanks for that beautiful picture, a true Kodak moment. May your Federal Mogul bushing last and last and last.

Sure looks like the real deal

I'll likely just use bearings in the future, the good bushing is getting rare.

You find it at NAPA?

I actually got it at advanced, in another town, only had one day off so I didn't want to wait for shipping, nothing better than spending $15 in gas to pick up a $9 part 45 minutes away
