As the proud owner of this bad toy, (and now that my internet connection is back up after 2 weeks!) its about time for me to gloat a little!

I put my $ down on this car sight-unseen about 3 days after GM said it was "a go", approached Jayson about a "project",and then waited 21 months for delivery, drove it for 3 days (200miles) and turned it over to Jayson three months ago. Talk about patience and leaps of faith! BUT DAMN! IT WAS WORTH IT!! This thing leaves "raped apes" and "scalded cats" behind like they were standing still, yet still moves thru traffic with the docility of a Civic. I thought the '04 GTO was ALMOST too good to mess with...wrong! This is exactly what it needed, power and attitude. Jayson and MTI have done ANOTHER unbelievable job here (this is my 5th car with them in 9 years). As best as I can tell, MTI has built the most powerful '04 GTO out there or at least the most powerful NA '04 GTO out there. I cannot say enough about their dedication, integrity, and professionalism. Thanks guys.

Awesome ride... Is the tranny stock? How about the diff and axles? Let us know how those components handle the extra power...

Don't they have emissions testing down there? I think I need to register my car in Texas...

Stock tranny and stock rearend and stock axles. We do have emissions testing in Texas, but they only sniff test 1996 and older vehicles without OBDII diagnostics. These late model OBDII setups just get a scanner plugged into the dash and if there aren't any SES lights, it passes.

probably 4.125x4.25 (454cid), buuuut MTI does prefer oversquare motors, so maybe something a bit larger than 4.155bore and an offset ground crank?

Default What's up?

Why won't MTI answer the question? Could it be he doesn't know? Come on MTI, let us know.

I would rather see it with a 455 CI or 455 HO badge on it..That would be mean, and confuse a lot of rice burners who dont know whats goin on...

I'm sure MTI knows, Mr. 8 posts. I was actually there when they were putting the motor together. The MTI staff has probably forgotten about this post. However, if your interested in purchasing a 455 stroker motor, give them a call.

I'm sure they know, I was just hoping to goat (pun intended) them into an answer. I would love to buy a 455, but I can't afford it. I'll just have to enjoy reading and looking at the photos of MTI’s for now.

That Goat is bad @$$! Can't wait to see the price on that upgrade. It's nice to know that MTI is not to far of a drive...looks like I'll be visiting in the near future.
