Default GTO Evaporator Core

Any one ever remove the Eavaporator core? I think mine might be clogged. Service manual isn't much help. Any info would help.

It's a major, major job. Are you sure it's not the expansion valve?

I'm not even sure. AC clutch won't engage, but I can jump it manually. High pressure switch is new too. Would the expansion valve keep the clutch from engaging? Fuses are all good too.

The expansion valve controls refrigerant flow to the evaporator and should always be changed if the system was opened; drier too.

You don't have to replace an expansion valve unless it's bad, the filter/drier every time. I'd definitely diagnose it before tearing into things that may not be the problem.
