Hey fellas, I was at a red light in my A4, light turned green, the car next to me takes off like a bat out of hell. So I figured I would just mess around up to 50. (the speed limit, not street racing) I was at maybe 15-18mph maybe when I decided to catch up to him. When I mashed it (traction was off) my car almost seemed like it got stuck trying to shift back down into first, stayed stuck for a second or so then took off. I messed around with it at those speeds for a bit and it didn't do it again. Maybe I was just right at that speed where it may downshift or wanted to stay in 2nd. That's the best I could think of. Possible transmission issue or am I worry over nothing like I usually do. Thx guys. Any response would be greatly appreciated.

No problem, if you weren't aggressive on the gas out of the hole, the trans was probably fixing to up-shift and then had to re-compute to downshift or hold the present gear.
