Default 2004 GTO MAF questions

Hello all. I have a question regarding swapping a 5 wire MAF into my 2004 GTO that I've just swapped a 5.3 into. Previous owner cut the 3 wire MAF plug off and spliced a 5 wire plug into it....however they were only using 3 wires from it and appeared be using the stock 2 wire IAT sensor as well. The 5 wire plug is different from the plug that my MAF uses but I have the correct pigtail for it.

  • Question 1 ... anyone know what wires do what so I can wire this correctly? The wire colors are different from the harness to the MAF that I have.

Question 2... should I just wire it to just use the 5 wire MAF as MAF only or use the integrated IAT sensor and not use the factory GTO iat? I still have the GTO IAT plumbed into the air inlet.

Here is a few pics of the connectors I have.

First pic is factory wiring that they spliced the 5 pin connector on. Colors from left to right go...

    Harness side..........connector side
    Black/red jumper to Black
    Pink. To. Red
    Brown. To. Green

    Second pic is 5.3 MAF
    Colors left to right

    Yellow...pink...black/white jumper....tan...black(possibly dark purple?)

Third pic is 04 gto IAT plug

    Wires left to right
    Brown......green/pink jumper

    Edit....found more info...

neither one of the vehicles listed in the pinout are exactly what I have but the colors seem to be correct... so judging from this pinout I found I should wire it...

    Harness side ......MAF pigtail
    Brown/white to yellow
    Pink To Pink
Black/red To Black/ white Factory harness and spliced plug 5.3 5 wire MAF
    Factory 04 IAT plug
Pinout thats closest to the colors my 04 gto harness and 2003 5.3 MAF are.
