Buying a 06a4 gto with 2xxk+ miles. I contacted a reputable crate engine seller and they have no cores, but said for $3800 would use my core and overhaul the engine. That really sounds good to me as that would put me in the car for under $10k. But that only leaves a couple thousand to do other chassis work and do heads and intake work.It seems a waste to overhaul the engine and then take the heads off for porting etc and upgrade the intake and a better cam. ANY advice for a better route to save some $$ and get more for them would really be appreciated.

Thnx pdx. Anyone here from western NC know a good performance shop That would rebuild the bottom end of an Ls2? I am looking but word of mouth is always best since people have had dealings with the shop(s)
