Default Very high mileage 2006 GTO

I found a 170k mike 2006 GTO near me, the guy is asking $8500. I went to check it out and test drove it, very fun car, super clean, apparently it’s had 5 owners though. I would be getting this as my daily. Waste of money or are these things pretty reliable? I’m mostly concerned with the motor, I have no problem fixing the little things and I have a backup car. What do you think?

Price is a little.high for the miles but if it's clean and the motor feels strong go for it they can be pretty reliable so ling as the basic maintenance is done to them. Anything done to it?

Just exhaust. I'm trying to get the VIN from the guy to look it up, I think I can talk him down a grand. Motor definitely feels strong to me but this would be my first car with more than 240 horsepower so most things feel strong to me, haha.

LS engines all come down to maintenance as long as everything feels and sounds good I'd buy it. They definitely are starting to become rare.
