I'm afraid of what GM might do when redesign time comes around for the GTO. The 2004 GTO is a handsome car, moaning from morons not withstanding, it's much better than the majority of tacky kid's stuff GM has been putting out as Pontiacs for the last 20 years.
I hope they don't go overboard in 2007, they could take a few notes from Chrysler on doing modern throwback styling right when the resurrected Charger comes out next year.

I agree... the car is VERY handsome and sleek. Maybe understated, but still what I like. Much like the original in that sense. Why can't everyone figure that out.... oh yeah, b/c they're too busy whining that its a Firebird replacement and doesn't look like the firebird. Too bad, that's not what the GTO is, and never was

No matter how you adjust mirrors, you will always have a side blind spot to some degree or another. I glance out the rear windows in my vehicles to see whats to the side of me, the GTO test drives are no different.
I would also prefer my cabin to remain airy with large windows, and less cavelike which is something I don't like about the tiny rear windows in my Grand National.
