I just got a pulse red 6 speed gto yesterday. Sticker was 33,485. (695 6 speed,295 special paint) I paid 26,663,plus 10 for temporary tag and 53 for paperwork at gillespie pontiac in Chicago. Found it on e bay, they have a yellow 6 speed and a purple auto listed there right now. Both of those are around 26,ooo even.

[QUOTE=JS]2.9% for 60 months...
Just curious what kind of prices are going around now.
I wanted final price and if that included tx and if it was a 6sp/A4...

Central North Carolina, High Point, Greensboro, Winston Salem and Kernersville all selling for invoice, approximately $2600 below sticker. Plus if you finance with GMAC they will give you 2.9% for 60 months AND an additional $3500 in rebate money. If you buy one in stock they will even give up the holdback $926. Mine was $26164 plus tax and tags. Pick it up Monday. Anticpation is a funny thing.

Got a price yesterday from a dealer in San Leandro, Ca. 24,900 before tax/lic. and we even talked about a $500 GM loyalty certificate maybe being thrown in somewhere. They have about 5 M6's and 1 A4 . I going back today!

This is borderline ridiculous, I've been looking for an 02 T/A WS-6 M6 for a month and can almost buy a new GOAT for the same price. TODD

Latest quote from a dealer is $25,899 and that includes a ram air hood and chromed wheels.

I guess there are rumors that on the 10th there will be even better incentives.

I'd wait another 2 months at least, the 04's will be taking up space on dealer lots as the 05's are comming in and they will be giving away the 04's at dealer cost, otherwise they'll have 05's that arent selling and 04's sitting next to them. I really don't see the 05's taking off with huge sales volumes, even with the extra horsepower it's the same car as the 04 that sold very very slowly, the 05's will sell just as slow, so there is no way dealerships can sell 04's with with big margins over cost, just sit and wait and don't get suckered into buying one at a certain date, because it will go even lower laterwhen they still don't take off. If you think you can get a good deal on a car on the 10th of any given month the deal will be even better at teh end of the month when all they car about is accumulating as many units per salesperson as possible and are willing to sell at cost. I am glad they made it plain jane and arent selling it basically means in 6 weeks the dealer is going to "lay down" when I am sitting across the desk negotiating price. My 2 cents.

I think the thread would be more helpful if people who have purchased GTO's give the price breakdown and purchase location..IE: Original sticker price - dealer discount - dealer certs - GMAC financing = My price before tax/title..

I would like to have some ammo to use against the dealer (Whom I work for) for bargaining...Just saying "well I read someone got one for $24500" won't help much. -Gabe

If you work there buddy up with one of the sales managers and you'll have a shot at getting the car at dealer cost. I sold BMW's for 8 months at the biggest dealer in Boston, if you are really into cars get a job in sales, if you are good you can usually qualify for ridiculously low employee program leases, howd you like to lease an 05 gto for 2 years for under 200 a month with unlimited mileage and no money down, not saying that you could but BMW had comparable dealsa for salesmen that worked for 1 year and met certain csi and sales criteria. I am sure GM has similar programs. But your best bet is to become good friends with the sales managers.

There are new 2004 GTO's listed on Ebay by dealers for under $25,000 right now. I bought a silver/black A4 from the dealer in Iowa. All paperwork was completed by mail before I left to pick the car up. Everything was smooth and just as promised. Very sharp dealership. Delivery took about 5 minutes. List 33,485 - Dealer discounted to 29,000 - 3500 Rebate - 500 instant value cert = 25,000 - 2000 GM card top-off earnings = 23,000 + 100 paperwork fees= 23,100 financed thru GMAC. Sales tax must be paid on 29,000 here in Kansas ($2044-ouch). The same dealer has a silver/red A4 listed now.

I'm only looking for a deal that any customer off the street can get. Buddying up with the sales managers just won't happen where I work..It's like oil and water...I may drive to the dealer down the road and use the fact that I came to them instead of my own employer to get an excellent price.. -Gabe

Gabe just use GMBUYPOWER.com I had several dealers in my area beating each other over the head to get my business. They send me a price qoute I'd
foward it to another dealer and so on this continued for three or four days I got them down to 26,000. Thats with the 3500
and 1500(3 coupons). I actually went with the dealer closest to me. I could have gotten it cheaper if i went to another dealer but i wanted to get it from the dealer down the street cause thats where any service will be done and they are very personable. Do it all through email DON'T give them a phone number and DON'T call them. Keep it as impersonalable as possible until you buy. Your emails should be no more than a couple of sentences at most. Let offers sit for 24 hours. They are very impatient for the sale and commision use it to your advantage. Don't seem anxious! Best of luck. I'm in New Jersey!

I read on a couple of forums that the rebate is now $5500.

I bought mine 7 days ago and got $3500 and $1500 certificates so this is $500 better.
I understand that they could have applied $2000 on the GTO.

If I didn't have 3 cars already, another 04 would be sitting in my driveway. The Pulse Red one looks nice!
