Dude, check out most of the F-Body or GM related forums. LS1.com, Camaroz28.com, MFBA.org (local), GM-Trucks.com (actually there I go under CMNTMXR81). There are many other boards both GM and non-GM that I've been on too over the years.

In many cases, I was here when they all first started. I remember when CZ28.com and LS1.com were in their infancy. Pro Stock John, one of the admins/owners of this site here, I know personally and was one of the first to register on this site.

I've been there, done that, bought the perverbial t-shirt.

I especially like how the glass keeps filling up unassisted.

I'm doing the best I can, the server came back online around noon. It doesnt help that it's taking me forever to upload all the files. I could not find a connection that doesnt cap their upload speeds. Once the files are up the board will be right as it was yesterday.

Actually, he keeps changing his address, because after too long in one spot, his neighbors eventually break into his garage and install Maremont OEM replacement mufflers on his cars.

I wish the DB wasn't so large. Right now I am typing from a rented out Kinko's workstation that seems to have a better connection than any of the DSL or Cable setups I have access too.

So at home I have the DB uploading and it took 45 min or so just to get 100MB on the server, right now I have 17 min on this workstation and I have 55MB on the server. I just hope one of these finishes soon.

Okay, okay, we get the point.

I'll promise to stop posting so much so the Db won't be jybangus.

Now if we could just get the other post ****** to agree(and you know who you are) then when this happens again it won't take so long to get back online.

Here's one..

Cop sees an old man crying on a park bench...

Walks up and asks him why he's crying...

Old man says "I have the most beautiful wife that anyone can imagine"...

Starts crying again...

Cop asks: "Why are you crying then?"

Old man says "She's very wealthy and gives me all the money I need"...

Starts crying even louder!

Cop says "Why are you still crying?"

Old man says "She has sex with me two or three times a day!"

Cries even louder!!!

Cop says. "Sir, why the hell are to so upset when you have so much good going on in your life???"

Old man says.....

.
.

"I forgot where I live!"

Sounds like your home connex upload is clamped at about 256 Kbps, which is pretty typical for a cable modem and faster than most DSL hookups. I suspect at Kinkos, you're getting a fairly fat piece of their T1.

Dang it all. Maybe it was the Indian jokes that took out the Apache Server software...

Slow connections stink That's one nice thing about having multiple servers in the same data center. Unless the place physically burns down, I'm good.. I keep a recent rolling backup of each website on another box in the same data center, as well as a full weekly backup mirrored to my server at home. 100MBit is a whole lot faster than my cable modem

BTW - all you folks are of course welcome here, stay as long as you like
