I just got back from the dealer, and I am not getting the $5000 bonus from the GM card! I have redeemed twice on 2 new cars and charge a bunch on my card. I still have the old card which doesnt limit how much you can redeem on each car, but limits you to $500 in earnings every year, which I reach every year. I did get some bonuses from them on my truck in addition to my earnings, but that was only 1,000 I think. I wonder how they determine who gets the bonus. Has anybody who got it redeemed before? I am kinda mad. But, if I did get the 5k bonus the wife would have been mad, so it is probably for the best. The truck is only a few months old now anyway.

The deal went as follows - MSRP 33495 (Auto)
Invoice 31148
Sold to me: 30,300 (dealer used 'coupon') $500 each, apparantly)
$5500 rebate in NY
$5000 on gm card ($2000 'top off' and $3000 for gto bonus cash)
$2499.75 NY tax (bastards)
$97 plates,title
$590 down, included first payment of $96.96
Amount fininnced for 2 yr lease was 21,800
Residual value $21,101 (final payment, or GM takes car back)
3.5% interest rate for smart buy
23 payments of $96.96, 12k mi/yr
You could probably do better as there are actually three of those $500 dealer coupons per deal if the dealer has any left.
My buddy just did a stick and worked them harder to $0 down 98/mo 24 mo

I just got home from the dealer! 102.12 for 24 mo with only my first payment at delivery. 13,500 off of MSRP. Needless to say I drove it home! WOW, how does GM do this stuff?

You can get the discount if you know anyone who has the GM card and is willing to call the GM card folks - the number is on the back of the card and have them make you an authorized user of the card- but only some cards have the extra cash - you need to call them as well and ask if there is GTO BONUS CASH available on that card.

Just as a last minute thing, we got an update here in Milwaukee that said they were even allowing 3 certs. to be used for GMS priced people as well. Never were allowed to do that before. I know it's last minute, but I just want to let you know. Athough, most dealers I'm sure are out of certs. I'm at a Chevy dealership, but i'd assume it was sent to all GM dealers.
