Removing Shifter Boot
How do you get the plastic piece in teh center of the car up? I tried gently prying it up, but it doesn't seem to want to give and I don't want to bust anything. I need to get at the shifter base to stop a squeak taht occurs when shifting gears. Anyone?

My first post here and I have one question. I had no problem getting the console out and removing my stock handle but how the hell do u get the **** off of the shifter? I bought a shorter handle so I am trying to get this done a.s.a.p. I was trying to unscrew it but it only bends a little (almost seemd that the center rubber in the handle is attached to the ****) Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Its like a quick disconnect fitting. The **** can be pulled right off the handle. The shorter handle problably does not accept this **** unless it was made specifically for the holden shift ****. Anyways you can pull the **** right off, a little easier with two people...I dont care to pull the **** off when the handle is attached to the shifter assembly.

Thank you for the info. I just hope that the boot isn't held up by the "quick disconnect" support as well or else I'll have to find a different way of holding the boot up.

The leather boot is zip tied to the **** itself. If you go with a different **** chances are the leather boot will not want to stay butted up to the **** but and you will be able to see a small portion of the handle.

Depends on the car. Some cars have gained around 10RWHP, some 15-18. On stock cars there is not a huge difference between all the induction systems, but our components are larger -- when you start modifying your GTO more with headers or a cam that’s were you will start to see great gains with ours. Plus ours cost less than many of the others out there.
